01/20/26 14:04 Twix is a middle aged pit bull that has been at the shelter since end of August. He has been on chronic treatment for skin allergies, which has improved but not completely resolved during his stay. At his last recheck he still has some hair loss along his hind end that is likely chronic and will not resolve. Twix also had surgery performed for a foreign body- he ate metal bottlecaps at some point liklely prior to entering the shelter. Twix is a sweet low energy dog and needs rescue or a commited adopter.02/11/26 15:56What did we do on todayâs adventure:Today I went on my FIFTH outing walking through Willow Glen! My walkers had no problem putting on my collars and I happily accepted a boost into their four runner. I sat in the bed they had for me and never made a peep! We walked 3 miles and I encountered people, dogs, bikes and strollers. I am friendly to all (almost not interested) because I like to sit by my walkers and I love when they pet my face. I lay perfectly still at Starbucks just dog and people watching. What should potential adopters know about me:TWIX a polite dog 4-6 year old male Pit bull/French bull dog(?) mix. He doesnât bark, pull, whine, demand attention and he is potty trained. Heâs like an old soul just wanting love and a person/family.Twix does have a skin rash on a small part of his back which is being treated and improving. He had surgery to remove ingested bottle caps and has healed beautifully. The shelter has no information on when they were ingested. I had such a great time taking in all the sights and sniffs.What should potential adopters know about me:Twix is a sweet dog! This was my first time meeting him. He was so friendly from the moment I met him and he allowed me to leash him up. He was fine with me helping him into the car and is a great passenger. He did great on the trail as well. He is friendly and non-reactive to all. Twix is social and would like to say hello to other dogs. He is a loose leash walker and enjoys a slow, good sniffy walk. Overall, heâs an amazing dog who would make a great companion to anyone!Three words to describe me:Sweet, Friendly, Mellow
