02/23/26 09:42 MHMeet Solstice, the beatiful, demure female Husky!Solstice is a gentle, docile girl with a soft presence and thoughtful nature. Sheâs easy to leash, easy to return to her kennel, and walks beautifully on leash with minimal to no pulling. She responds well to light leash guidance and enjoys calmly exploring her surroundings at her own pace.Solstice tends to be mellow and a bit nervous in new situations, but she handles herself well. She has passed other dogs in hallways without issue and is generally nonreactive. In playgroup, she does best in gentle, dainty settings. She will engage in play with appropriate partners but prefers dogs who are calm and not overly physical. If another dog barks at or pressures her, she may become stiff and vocal, but she typically chooses to walk away rather than escalate. She appears to react only when she feels uncomfortable or threatened.Sheâs more interested in sniffing the yard and taking in the world than chasing toys, and she has not shown much interest in treats so far. With people, Solstice is sweet and acceptingâshe will approach and allow petting, though she doesnât demand attention. Her quiet affection and polite manners make her an easy companion.Solstice would likely thrive in a patient home that appreciates a sensitive, observant dog and can continue building her confidence. She may do well with a calm, respectful canine companion or as a solo dog where she can relax and blossom at her own pace.02/24/26 16:09Todayâs adventure was a first for Solstice! She hopped immediately into the car after a brief walk in the parking lot. She leashed up nicely and politely AND MY GOODNESSâ¦.IS SHE ATALKER IN THE CAR! Solstice was very happy to be out of the shelter and talked about it all the way to the trailâ¦.so HUSKY ADORABLE! She loved looking out the window during our drive to the Hamilton Creek trail. She walked 5 miles, never pulling andnever zig zagging! She only pulled once at a squirrel in our path! She passes dogs, bikes, strollers without much interest unless they start barking at her first. She rather just go on her walk! Potential adopters should know that she is gorgeous with beautiful tan and white markings on her face. She calmed down immediately once out of the car! ( she talked a lot in the beginning) She loves sniffy walks and walks in a straight line. She is a sweet calm and patient and loving dog! She knows sit and whenever we rested on the walk, she waited patiently for us to resume.Words to describe me:Sweet. Calm. Petite. Loving. Trustworthy
