* Last extension issued. Jelly Belly needs to be pulled by rescue or adopter by 3/20/26 at 5:00 p.m. or she will be humanely euthanized. *03/16/26 16:13 Jelly Belly was re-evaluated today; she continues to have compulsive circling with head turn. Her nystagmus (resting eye movements) are equivocally mildly improved since starting a steroid, but her overall neurologic condition remains severely abnormal. Medical is extending her review date to 3/18/26 at end of day.03/12/26 17:49 Jelly Belly's neurologic signs have further progressed despite treatments and are impacting her quality of life. Jelly Belly was started on steroid empirically/palliatively, in addition to clindamycin for any infectious causes for her neurologic disease. We are updating her needs rescue status to FINAL with a review date of 3/16/26. 03/11/26 10:12 Jelly Belly's neurologic exam findings seem to be slightly progressive since intake. Jelly Belly has consistent compulsive non-stop circling to the right with head turn, particularly when stimulated or in a stimulating environment, and a consistent nystagmus with slow phase to right. She has abnormal proprioception on her right limbs. At times, in her kennel, she will rest on her bed, but has an intermittent fast head turn to right. Differential diagnoses include inflammatory (auto-immune) or infectious neurologic disease or congenital disease, disease from prior trauma, or much lesser likely cancerous disease. In need of urgent rescue for spinal tap and MRI.
