Luna's adoption fee has been paid for with a donation from a community member07/15/26 Doggie Day Out:Luna was excited to see and meet me when I arrived at the shelter, she didnât seem too nervous at all! She jumped right in my car, whined for about five minutes and then laid down. We went to my backyard where she met a few family members (all adults) and was happy to meet all of them, didnât show any signs of being scared or nervous. She went from person to person to get pets and didnât seem interested in toys or the kiddie pool full of water. We went to drakes the barn where she seemed very interested in our food but laid down under the table quietly while we ate lunch. She will definitely be attached to her people. Every time one of us got up, she got up and watched wherever we went. She walked well on her leash and would look back and check in while walking ahead of me. She did great and didnât cry in the car every time she got in after that first ride. We went to the pet store and she got a bath, she was scared to get in but let me pick her up and put her in. Once she was in, she was very calm and was so excited after her bath, you could tell she felt much better and started getting some zoomies. She took treats from the employees there and had an ice cream treat. She was very gentle taking treats from me and everyone else. We then walked around Home Depot, she had lots of sniffs, and wanted to meet all the people. She is definitely a people dog! On our way back to the shelter, she sat quietly in the car and when we arrived, I sat in the back seat with her and she took a nap and slept quietly next to me for about 20 mins. Sheâs a very sweet girl, was gentle giving kisses and taking treats, and it seems that getting her persons love and affection seems to be the most important thing to her. She knows sit and lay down and seems like she would be able to easily learn more with consistency and training :)
