Stella's Doggie Day Out: `We started off going to McKinley park where she was very determined to walk. She didn’t pull or anything and walked very well on the leash. She was interested in other people and other animals but not enough to do anything more than stop and stare or an occasional little wag when she was talked to. We also wandered around near Folsom lake a bit but never got in. She rides fine in the car, she just stays sitting upright and needs a little help getting in, and encouragement getting out but she figured it out pretty quick. If you help her she jumps right in/out. She also seems to know sit.Because of her age, the heat, and her need to constantly stay walking I brought her back to my apartment to see if she would lay down and get some comfy rest. She ended with a very good nap and had warmed up to me more and would come up to me for affection. I was told she likes chicken so I got her some and can confirm that she LOVES chicken opposed to her own treats. She was kept separate from my cats but initially didn’t bother approaching them when we first came inside. At one point she saw them again and stayed where she was, wagging her tail. She didn’t get into anything either, just followed me around the apartment. I hope she can find a loving home that can satisfy her walks and give her a soft place to nap. She was such a sweetheart once she warmed up to me and very easy going the entire time.`
