Crouton is a dog who is timid around humans but fearless when it comes to following his senses! As a nervous pup, he is a clever boy will dig under fences if left unsupervised and spends his indoor time searching for exits to the outdoors when he is not napping or warming human laps. Crouton is looking for a quiet home that will be able to keep him safe, build trust, and provide ample time for lap naps.OTHER PETS: Crouton greeted other dogs appropriately, disengaged and continued looking for ways outside. He may warm to another dog in time but he is perfectly happy being the sole receipient of affection from his trusted humans. Crouton should meet any dogs he would be living with prior to adoption. We want to set Crouton up for success, so his human family members should be old enough to understand and learn how to interact with him safely. A combination of mental enrichment, such as puzzle toys and scent games, and regular exercise, are the best ways to meet his needs. Play may not happen right away but can be developed as he decompresses.
