Hello friends, my name is Max! I'm a 4 year old, neutered Siberian Husky mix that weighs about 46lbs. I'm one goofy and happy dude that loves belly rubs! I'm equal parts lovebug and high-octane athlete! My zoomies in the yard can't help but bring a smile to your face! I would love to go home with a family that has Nordic breed experience as I am very true to my breed and like to do things in my own special way. I would love to meet the whole family including any resident dogs (as I'm a rambunctious player) before going home. Come on in and say hi! Max ID#A0902253
I recently went on a field trip with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did:
Max spent a day out of the shelter and was an easy, enjoyable companion. He couldn't wait to jump into the car and rode quietly the entire time with no complaints or anxiety. On walks, Max did great with loose leash walking most of the time and loved stopping to sniff around and explore. He showed no reaction to people passing by or to birds outside. He does pause and pay attention when he sees other dogs, but stayed manageable and observant rather than reactive. At home, Max was respectful in the house and did not bother or damage household items. He was playful and especially enjoyed squeaky plush toys. He wasn't very interested in Charlie Bears treats, but cheese definitely got his attention. Overall, he came across as a sweet, curious husky who enjoys outings, enrichment, and being around people.
