Hi there! My name is Chiquita and I'm a spayed, 9-year-old, Spaniel/Chihuahua mix that currently weighs about 20lbs. I'm a confident senior lady that is set in my ways. I'm hoping for a family that understands the retirement life. I'm fairly particular in a Golden Girls kind of way. My friends at PHS say I'm more of a Sophia. I prefer to live in an adult only household as the only dog, as I am quite independent and I'm learning to share. I'm hoping my forever family is prepared to help me work on that. Don't let my age fool you! Similar to Sophia, I still have plenty of pep in my step! I love playtime, going for walks, and spending quality time with my favorite humans. "Chiquita is a sweet girl with the happiest, young-at-heart energy. When she gets excited to see you, she might pop up to say hello because she just cannot contain her joy. She loves being around her person and has that big, affectionate personality that makes you feel chosen. She prefers to be the only dog in the home so she can really bond closely with her person. In a calm, consistent environment, she settles beautifully and shows her softer side.
She also has a few silly little habits, like doing happy spins and choosing the most random cozy corner to nap in. If you are looking for a loyal, playful companion who will love you wholeheartedly and bring warmth into your home, she might be your girl."
