Good Afternoon, my name is Russell and I'm a Wilderness Explorer in Tribe 54, Sweat lodge 12. Are you in need of a new puppy today? I'm an 8-month-old, Bull Terrier mix that currently weighs 50lbs, but will possibly be between 70 to 80lbs as an adult. I'm an energetic, and playful guy that would love to go home with a family that is familiar with Bull Terriers and large breed dogs. My friends here at PHS say that I'm a rough and tumble kind of guy that loves physical play, but I can also be fairly stubborn (similar to a toddler). Because of my rambunctious nature and playstyle, I would do best in an adult only household or one with teens. My future family should be prepared to teach me the rules but also be patient and loving enough to give me space to learn. I promise I'm a total sweetheart; I just have to get my wiggles out first! If you are looking for puppy kisses and wiggly tails, I can deliver! Russell ID# A978323
I recently went on a fieldtrip with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did:
Russell is so sweet and friendly. He was not at all sure about getting in my car. He is also still too small to jump in on his own. I spent some time getting him familiar with the car using treats but ultimately had to pick him up and put him in. He was a great car passenger. I went straight to my house and walk from there since it's a quieter neighborhood. He was a little hesitant about going into our house but decided to be brave and check it out! He was very good on our walk. He checks in with his handler frequently and likes being a good boy. We went to the big field at the school near my house and hung out for a while. While he was curious about his surroundings, he was also very focused on me and interacting with me. I had him on a long line, and he was super good! We played a little bit of fetch with the ball and then just sat while he chewed the ball. We walked back to my house, and he investigated all the things. He is pretty good in nosework, so we played some "find it". He did great. He went into the crate several times and tolerated me closing the door. He wasn't scared or anxious. He sat on the couch with me for a bit. He's a very sweet, affectionate guy.
