Snickerdoodle is simply irresistible!
Snickerdoodle is estimated to be 3-4 months old, and she is a sweet girl who is quick to win your heart with her adorable little face and adoring personality. She was a little shy when she first arrived, but she has blossomed into a social girl who loves affection and making new friends - especially if yummy treats are involved! Snickerdoodle currently weighs about 13lbs and we think that she will be around 40-50lbs when fully grown.
Snickerdoodle and her five siblings were surrendered to one of our rescue partners, BONES Pet Rescue, in Covelo after their owners could no longer care for them. Snickerdoodle and one of her sisters (who has already been adopted) came to us, and the other four puppies went to the Sacramento SPCA.
Snickerdoodle looks like a little stuffed animal with her big brown eyes and plush coat. She is the epitome of adorable, and she has a goofy and fun personality to match. She loves playtime and is a moderate-to-high energy girl who would love an active family to take her on lots of adventures. She also loves a good cuddle session and will happily make herself comfy in your lap after an afternoon of fun. Snickerdoodle is one smart cookie and has been great at picking up her basic manners training. She will need a family committed to helping her continue to learn.
Snickerdoodle loves other dogs and would be a great little sister for a playful dog needing a playmate. She may do okay as an only dog with lots of opportunities to socialize with dog friends. Snickerdoodle has been doing very well living with dog-savvy cats. She has also done well living with older kids and could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years and older.
Snickerdoodle has been making great progress with her housetraining, but is still learning and needs a family who can be patient with her while she is in training. Snickerdoodle has things to say about being home alone, but will quickly settle in her crate when left for short periods during the day. She has also done well sleeping through the night in her crate. Due to her vocal personality, she wouldn't be the best fit to live in an apartment.
Snickerdoodle is such a wonderful little girl, and she can't wait to be your new best friend! So what are you waiting for - submit an application today!

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes.
Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption.
