Hi, my name is Florence, and Iâm still just a puppyâonly 9 months old.I came to HCAS with my siblings on December 5th, and before that, all we ever knew was each other and the kennel we lived in. Everything here is new and big and loud, and itâs honestly pretty scary for a shy girl like me. The people here are super nice, thoughâthey sit with me, talk softly, and offer tasty treats while I decide if Iâm ready to be brave. No one forces me to do things Iâm not ready for; they let me take my time and move at my own pace. Itâs a lot to be away from the only place Iâve ever known, but Iâm slowly learning that hands can be kind and new places can be safe. What Iâm really hoping for is a family who will be patient with me while I learn how to be a ârealâ dogâsomeone who will reassure me, go slow, and celebrate my little brave moments. If you have a gentle heart and a quiet place for a shy puppy to blossom, Iâd really love to meet you.UPDATEI thought I had found my forever home recently, but sometimes things just donât work out the way we all hope. It wasnât anyoneâs faultâit just turns out that I still need a family who really understands what it means to go slow and give me lots of time to trust. Iâm not the kind of puppy whoâs ready to jump right inâI need space to feel safe, gentle words, and patience while I find my courage. If you can see the brave little spark inside me and are willing to help it grow, I promise Iâll keep trying. I know that with the right person, Iâll be able to blossom into the good, loyal girl I want to be.
