Hi, my name is Florence, and I’m still just a puppy—only 9 months old.I came to HCAS with my siblings on December 5th, and before that, all we ever knew was each other and the kennel we lived in. Everything here is new and big and loud, and it’s honestly pretty scary for a shy girl like me. The people here are super nice, though—they sit with me, talk softly, and offer tasty treats while I decide if I’m ready to be brave.No one forces me to do things I’m not ready for; they let me take my time and move at my own pace. It’s a lot to be away from the only place I’ve ever known, but I’m slowly learning that hands can be kind and new places can be safe.What I’m really hoping for is a family who will be patient with me while I learn how to be a “real” dog—someone who will reassure me, go slow, and celebrate my little brave moments.
