Halley is a beautiful young dark brown tabby (under a year old) with the most striking face. Her bright amber eyes are framed by soft tan coloring around them, contrasting with the dark tabby markings on the rest of her face and head. And if you notice her incredibly long tail - yes, it's just as impressive in person!Personality-wise, Halley is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. She loves toys and enjoys playing with friendly cats, but she's also perfectly happy just lounging in the same room as her people, quietly keeping them company. Once she feels comfortable with you, she'll greet you with the sweetest little chirps and soft meows.Halley can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she's safe. After that, she's affectionate, gentle, and loves pets. She especially enjoys the company of other cats and would likely do best in a home with a friendly feline companion. She's also surprisingly sweet with kittens and seems to enjoy caring for them. She's comfortable around calm, lazy dogs, but very energetic dogs make her nervous.Halley's story began when her mother - a neighborhood stray - surprised everyone by walking into a friend's home and giving birth to six kittens. Halley was one of them. The boys were all born without tails, and the girls (including Halley) were born with long, elegant tails. All of her siblings found loving homes. Sadly, Halley was recently returned by her adopters. When she first came back to us, she was understandably nervous and unsure of people. But over time she's blossomed into a loving, gentle cat who clearly enjoys being part of a home and family. Now she's ready to find the forever home she truly deserves - one where she'll be loved and never left behind again.Halley would thrive in a home with:A patient family who will give her a little time to settle inA friendly cat companion to play withA calm household where she can feel safe and lovedIn return, you'll get a sweet, chirping companion who will happily share your space, play with toys, and quietly brighten your home.If you're looking for a gentle, playful young cat with a big heart and a beautiful comet tail, Halley might be the perfect addition to your family. To inquire about adopting this cat please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions
