Special Needs? Molly is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 09/12/25 Molly had a dental with extractions. Our veterinarian has recommended regular dentals. Please note, we have one vet who stated Molly had luxating patella in a back knee and one who disagreed. We are not sending her to surgery because she romps and plays with no issue but this is in the records so we are noting. Molly has been treated for hookworms. She has been known to eat poop (we don't judge).
Weight: 8 lbs

What kind of home would be best for me? Molly has never known life as a companion. She is accustomed to dogs (lots of them) and routine. Her foster mom is teaching her what being a pet means. Her forever home is with a family that can offer her consistency and routine. A family that understands she has never lived in a home and is not house trained but is trying.
Molly is a Velcro dog. She follows her foster mom everywhere. She bonds hard and fast to her people, actually preferring her humans over the other dogs in her foster home. Molly would be okay as the only dog. What she really wants is someone home during the day to spend their time doting on her!
Molly needs a low traffic, quiet home without children. She is easily frightened by sudden noises. In her foster home she sees her reflection in the stove, fireplace, sliding glass door or TV screen and she barks at herself until you can deflect her attention elsewhere. She is always concerned when you go to pick her up. She will flatten and freeze. But once up, she loves being in your arms or on your lap.
If you are considering adopting Molly - a dog raised in a breeding facility - please read this important article before you submit an application:
https://bestfriends.org/pet-care-resources/what-expect-when-rescuing-puppy-mill-dog

What is my personality like? Meet Molly, a sweet little toy poodle with a tender heart who is ready to begin her new life. Molly is gentle and kind, with a true love for cuddles once she feels safe. She would happily spend most of the day in your arms or by your side, soaking up affection. But trust takes time for her, and she will need patience, understanding, and plenty of love as she adjusts to her new world.
As a breeder release, Molly is still discovering the basics of family life. House manners, leash walking, and daily routines are all things she will need guidance with as she grows in confidence. Molly coexists with the dogs in her foster home but does not engage with them. She is just so focused on her human and can get jealous if another dog comes close. When talked to in a high happy voice, Molly smiles and her smiling makes her sneeze. She has a REAL urge to play and does zoomies when she picks up something on the floor she thinks is a toy like a sock. But she gets frightened, worried she is doing something bad. This girl will become a pure delight once she feels loved and safe.
With the support of a family who believes in her, Molly will blossom into the affectionate, devoted little dog she was always meant to be.
How do I act when I first meet new people? A little shy but she really wants people in her life.

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to /follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
