What kind of home would be best for me? Adele is a young, active dog that is looking for an active family. She has a few very specific requirements in her forever home. First, Adele requires another young, active dog in the home. She loves to run and play with a canine sibling and is the happiest and most confident version of herself with another dog. Second, Adele is a sleep in the bed sort of princess. Her foster family requires a home where dogs have a history of sleeping snuggled against their humans at night. Finally, Adele is looking for a home that will offer her patience as she adjusts. She is a wonderful girl but can be timid at first. Her forever home will understand this and help her continue to build confidence.
What is my personality like? Adèle is a marvelous little poodle. How this gorgeous girl ended up a stray is a mystery - she has clearly been loved. When she is comfortable, her happy personality shines through. Adele is beautiful, fun, and snuggly. She loves to run zoomies around the yard with other dogs in her foster home. She loves toys, the squeakier the better! She is a gentle soul who needs quiet guidance. She has learned about treats, so feel free to bribe her trust. It took one day for her to sleep in bed with her foster family. And in bed with you is where she wants to be at bedtime.
Adèle is the total package - she is wicked smart, funny, athletic, and empathetic. She'd make a
great Obedience dog, Reading dog, or Agility dog. Her foster family hopes that her forever family takes her to classes and keeps her learning as she deserves to use that brain of hers. Whoever Adèle chooses to be her Forever Family will be so very lucky!
How do I act when I first meet new people? Adèle is timid at first but warms up quickly if you let her come to you.
Other tips and tidbits: Adele was found as a stray, so we have absolutely no history on her. Based on her overall health and condition, she is estimated at 1 year old. We celebrate her birthday 11/21/2024.
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
