Fence needed? No, but he's never lived without one. Georgie knows nothing about leashes. You will teach him everything.
What kind of home would be best for me? Everything about being a pet is still new to Georgie, so he will need time, guidance, and compassion as he learns what home life is all about. He responds best to gentle teaching and patient encouragement, and with the right support, he will continue to grow in confidence.
Georgie feels most secure with another dog in the home, as canine companionship is all he has ever known. Other dogs give him confidence and comfort, and he truly blossoms when he has a furry friend to follow and learn from. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and enjoys being part of a calm, supportive pack.
Because Georgie is still learning to trust and adjust to this new chapter of life, we believe he would do best in a home without young children, or with older, respectful children who understand that he is new to love and still finding his footing as a pet.
What is my personality like? Rescued from a difficult beginning, Georgie is living proof that love always finds a way. This sweet Chinese Crested has a gentle soul and is searching for a patient, understanding family - ideally one with rescue experience, and even better, familiarity with the Crested breed.
One thing Georgie is already sure about - He loves affection. Being held, picked up, and cuddled are some of his favorite things. He's also a big fan of sweaters and jackets and would happily be your little dress-up buddy, soaking up attention and warmth along the way.
Georgie may be just beginning his journey, but with patience, kindness, and a loving home, he has all the potential to become a deeply devoted and affectionate companion. If you're looking for a special dog to nurture and watch blossom, Georgie is ready to take that journey with you.
How do I act when I first meet new people? Georgie is timid meeting new faces. He simply hasn't had a lot of experience. Give him a few moments and he'll settle in.
Other tips and tidbits: Georgie was born 11/06/2023
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
