Though we think Sprocket would be happiest as the only dog in the home (where he can soak up all the love and toys for himself), he has shown that he can get along well with larger dogs who respect his personality and space. He loves to run alongside them and try to initiate play - and we're fairly certain he believes he's a 60-pound dog trapped in a smaller body. In personality, he definitely is!

How do I act when I first meet new people? Sprocket can be a bit protective of his space, and when meeting new people, he may bark a little if you enter his "territory." However, once he's away from his crate, he's friendly, outgoing, and quick to warm up to you. With a little patience, you'll quickly see his affectionate and playful side.
Other tips and tidbits: Sprocket was originally found as a stray back in 2022. At the time, it was estimated he was 3ish years old. We celebrate Sprocket's birthday 11/6/2019.
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog potty trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
