We are looking for an individual to provide Misty a stable home so she can live out her golden years in a stable/loving home. She was rescued as a stray in pretty bad condition. Since then, she has come a long ways. She has been spayed, medicated, gained weight, she loves to eat and has shown us she is ready to keep living a much longer life.Missy tested positive for FIV, which means she is immunocompromised. She was also diagnosed with possible GI Lymphoma and irritable bowel disease. She is very happy and seems to be very stable, currently. She is being treated daily with prednisone that you can put in her food or directly into her mouth, and will most likely need to continue this for the remainder of her life. She gets along great with Cleveland, a younger male orange tabby FIV foster cat, also very stable and doing well.If you are willing to adopt us both, it would be even better!

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
$300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
