Hattie

Hattie is a 9 year old female Lab mix with a face that tells a story … just one look at her sweet gentle smile and graying fur will instantly steal your heart! She is as loving as they come, the kind of dog who just wants kind hands to pet her and a person to call her own. It seems as if Hattie once knew the comforts of a home, since she is very well-behaved, easy on a leash, and shows signs of having been house-trained. Sadly, Hattie came to the shelter with heartworm, but she is already getting treatment to be on the road to healing. There is typically a 6-8 week period of restricted exercise after treatment, so the best thing for her recovery is to find her forever family soon, so that she is in a cozy, caring home where she can heal surrounded by love. Hattie is ready to give her whole heart to someone special … she just needs that someone to find her. Come meet this precious girl soon, and give Hattie the second chance she deserves!
The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
