Lacey is a 1.5 year old female German Shepherd mix, and embodies everything people adore about her breed. She is engaging, fun, active, and incredibly smart - the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and is born to be a loyal, lifelong companion. She definitely does not deserve to be in a shelter, confined to a cage, which is especially difficult for dogs as smart as she is. On the bright side, several volunteers have really taken to Lacey - they love taking this sweet girl out on walks, and giving her a chance to run and explore in the park. She seems to be dog-friendly since she has been good when meeting other dogs, including small pups. On the other hand, Lacey seems much too interested in cats, so she is not recommended for a home with them. Otherwise, Lacey is a very good girl and already knows a perfect Sit … plus she would love to learn more in her forever family. So if you're looking for a truly special dog who's ready to give her whole heart to her forever family, come meet Lacey today and take home your new best friend!
