Bailey a really sweet boy, but he's quirky and can have his grouchy moments! He doesn't like to be picked up, unless he fully trusts you. And he'll give a warning growl if you're petting him the wrong way. But he'll let you know when he wants to be pet by pawing at you. Since he's been with me he hasn't shown any resource guarding. He just wants to be loved and will cuddle in your lap on his own terms. He sleeps through the night and enjoys his daytime naps.

He loves being outside in the yard and gets so excited to go for walks, even though he doesn't want to put his harness on. He plays well with other small dogs but will bark at bigger ones. For the most part he doesn't mind cats, just barks at them. He's not a fan of car rides, so he'll whine and sometimes let out a howl. Overall, he's an easy dog, and will make a great companion for the right person that has experience with small dogs that have a bit of an attitude/

Bailey would do best in an adult-only home with someone who is willing to go at his pace and continue helping him build confidence and trust. He isn't the kind of dog who will fit into just any household but for the right person, Bailey has the potential to be an incredibly devoted companion.
