Say hello to this little butterball, Max. This rotund senior has the sweetest disposition and has settled beautifully into his new foster home after making the journey north from the South. After his elderly owner passed away, Max's world was turned upside down. Scared and confused, he had no idea what had happened. Thankfully, he was placed in a wonderful foster home in Tennessee, where he slowly regained his confidence-and his heart opened to love once again.
Max recently arrived in Rhode Island and is now thriving in my home alongside my two senior dogs. He's on a much-needed diet, and the good news is that he truly enjoys his daily walks, which are already helping with his weight management. While he currently can't manage a full flight of stairs, he has no trouble with porch or deck steps. I carry him upstairs, he uses my bed stairs with ease, and he happily sleeps with me each night. Max weighs about 15 pounds and still has a few more to lose-but with continued care, he's well on his way to feeling his very best.
Max does not require a crate. He's perfectly content lounging while you're away and will not damage belongings. As far as we know, he's never lived with a cat, but honestly, we don't think he'd mind sharing his home at all.
If you're looking for a low-key senior companion with a heart full of love, Max is your boy.
