Meet Dottie! Dottie is a sweet, gentle pup who's doing wonderfully with potty training. As long as she's kept on a regular puppy potty schedule, accidents are minimal-and when they do happen, she reliably uses puppy pads. She occasionally has excited or nervous pee accidents, but those are already becoming rare as she settles in and gains confidence.
She does great with other dogs, who have been fantastic role models for her and are helping her build confidence and learn good puppy manners. Dottie is also good with cats-she mostly ignores them, though curious kittens trying to play may catch her attention.
Dottie absolutely loves to cuddle and stay close to her people. She's affectionate, gentle, and just the sweetest little companion.
She hasn't started leash training yet, so that will be something her future family can work on together.
When her people leave, Dottie does let you know-she has some mild separation anxiety and may whine or give a few small barks at first. However, she seems to redirect herself fairly quickly, and she's quiet when people are home aside from the occasional playful yip. With consistency and reassurance, this should continue to improve.
Dottie is a loving, loyal pup who's ready to blossom even more in a patient, caring home
* Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.
