HISTORY: GIGI was brought to F&F and found to be FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats, this cat has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many "mixed households." According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species.
TEMPERAMENT: GIGI is affectionate and gentle. GIGI likes to lay in the sun and is a big snuggler! She has shown interest in other kitties, but mostly just wants love from humans.
