HISTORY: FREYA was brought to Felines & Friends as a stray and found to be FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats, this cat has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many "mixed households." According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species.
TEMPERAMENT: FREYA is a pretty girl who is starting to come out of her comfort zone! She is shy, but is open to human affection and has spent a lot of time with other cats. FREYA is looking for a quiet home where she can look out the window and continue to get more comfy with human companions.
