Ruby is a cutie patootie! She's a snuggle bug with a standard issue JRT attitude. She LOVES to play with other dogs - so she definitely needs a home with playmates! She's accustomed to a dog door, and is learning to use a bell to let you know she needs to go out. Ruby rests quietly in a crate and is happy to sleep there all night. Of course, she'd be tickled to sleep with you. If you stay up too late she may ask you to put her to bed! Ruby came to us as an owner surrender. She's been with the same family since she was a wee pup. Her person was a man, but she's adapted well with her foster mom, so she's equal opportunity. Unfortunately, she's not kid-friendly. She's not been tested on cats. We are told she will eliminate your critter problems in no time! We were told Ruby has extreme anxiety when going to the vet, but otherwise she's a perfect girl! Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $250 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own.
