Larry comes from our rescue partner down south and is now in NJ with a foster family!
Meet Larry, a 12-pound Rat Terrier mix who's small in size but big in personality!
Larry's journey started as a stray before landing in the shelter, and now he's enjoying the comfort of a foster home while waiting for his forever family. He was a bit unsure at first (who wouldn't be after all that change?), but this little guy has blossomed beautifully with love and patience.
Larry is settling in to his foster home in NJ. He is very good with the small dogs in his foster home, but has been afraid of the larger dogs that he has met. We were told that Larry loves other dogs and will happily bark to invite them to play, but we have not yet seen that behavior in NJ.
He DOES love his foster parents, and is a big cuddler who loves attention.
Larry must not have been socialized with children, because he's been very anxious around them. We're working on that but we think he'd prefer a home without children as of now.
He quickly learned to use the doggy door, and seems to be housetrained. He enjoys going for walks.
Smart, adaptable, and full of charm, Larry is ready to find a home that will appreciate his spunky spirit and affectionate heart.
If you're looking for a lovable sidekick who will make you laugh and melt your heart every day, Larry might be your guy.
Larry is up to date on vaccines and treatment. He is already neutered and his adoption donation is $450.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
