Max is a precious pup who is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters.
Meet Max
Max is the kind of dog who brings instant joy wherever he goes-equal parts sweet, silly, and just the right amount of trouble (the lovable kind, of course).
This handsome chocolate Lab mix is still very much a puppy, which means he's powered by zoomies, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for sticks and chew bones. If there's fun to be had, Max is already there-tail wagging, ready to join in.
He absolutely loves to play and would be over the moon to have another playful dog in the home, or regular dog friends to burn off that happy energy. Think of him as your future adventure buddy-always up for a walk, a run, or a backyard play session.
Max is also a smart cookie and very treat-motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. He's eager to learn… especially if snacks are part of the deal.
Now, full honesty-Max does have a bit of a "let's see what's on the other side of this fence" mindset. He can jump, so a secure 6-foot fence is a must to keep this curious boy safe at home where he belongs.
What he's really looking for is an active family who will embrace his playful spirit, keep him moving, and love him through all his puppy antics. In return, you'll get a loyal, joyful companion who will make you laugh daily and remind you not to take life too seriously.
Max is ready to bring a whole lot of love (and a little bit of mischief) into someone's life.
Max
is fixed,
microchipped and up to date on vaccines. His
adoption donation is $550.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
