Meet Precious - and oh, is she ever living up to her name.

This sweet girl is currently in a NJ foster home, where she's continuing to learn that the world can be a safe and loving place.

Precious came from a situation where she spent much of her time in a covered crate. Not because she's aggressive-quite the opposite. She's a gentle, sensitive soul who is still learning to feel secure and confident. While she has made progress, Precious can be cautious and easily overwhelmed by new situations, so she will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time.

One thing is certain: Precious absolutely loves people. She enjoys attention from her humans and is happiest when she's being loved on. She also adores grooming and being brushed, making spa days one of her favorite activities.

Because she feels most comfortable having her own space, Precious would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can continue building confidence and forming a strong bond with her family.

What Precious needs most is a calm, understanding home that will continue helping her feel safe and loved. In return, you'll gain a sweet, loyal companion who is ready to blossom with the right person by her side.

She is up to date on her vaccines, spayed, and ready to find her forever family. Her adoption donation is $500.

Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animals have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
