Rusty is a loving and cuddly boy with the cutest Cleopatra-style eyeliner! As cool as Freddie Mercury, he will snuggle up and push your arm onto his back for pets whenever he can. He is a versatile, medium-energy dog who is content with slow, quiet days or long walks alike. He loves squeaky toys and is happy to play with his humans or entertain himself.Rusty gets along well with all his foster brothers, both canine and feline, and loves being around others. He is crate trained, housebroken, and has shown no destructive behaviors. He is incredibly gentle, especially during mealtime, and savors every bite of his food and treats.While he is very comfortable outdoors, he can be a bit nervous in new indoor environments and requires a very secure outdoor space, as he is quite the escape artist! He walks well on a leash but can be startled by small noises; he does best with gentle encouragement. Although he currently shakes during car rides, he is showing improvement when traveling with his canine brothers. Rusty is sweet with everyone he meets and would make a fabulous, gentle family companion.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
