As fragile newborns, Maya & Kaya came into rescue after a devastating lawnmower accident. Sadly, two of their siblings passed away shortly after entering care, making Maya and Kaya's survival even more extraordinary.

Maya escaped the accident with no major lasting injuries, but Kaya suffered severe trauma, including a badly infected eye, abrasions to her left front paw, and significant damage to her left hind leg and paw. In the beginning, her future was uncertain. Through intensive care, antibiotics, rest, and later physical therapy, Kaya slowly regained strength. Today, she has maintained her eyesight and has full use of her leg - an incredible recovery for such a tiny kitten.

Throughout every feeding, treatment, and milestone, Maya and Kaya leaned on each other constantly. Their bond became an essential part of their healing. They sleep curled together, play side by side, and find comfort simply being near one another. Wherever one goes, the other is never far behind.

Now thriving, these girls are playful, curious, affectionate, and full of personality. They love exploring, chasing toys, climbing kitten trees, and then curling up together for naps and cuddles. Maya is gentle and sweet with her beautiful orange-tabby/calico markings, while Kaya is a brave little fighter with an endlessly loving spirit. Together, they represent hope, perseverance, and the incredible difference compassionate rescue care can make.

Maya and Kaya are wonderfully social kittens who do well with other cats and kittens, gentle children, and calm, cat-friendly dogs. Their adaptable and loving personalities make them an easy addition to a caring family environment.

Because of their deep bond and shared journey, Maya and Kaya must be adopted together. After overcoming so much loss and hardship in their earliest days of life, these sisters deserve a forever home filled with patience, safety, warmth, playtime, and unconditional love.

Maya and Kaya's adoption donation is $245 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter/spay.
