Barney loves people and a head scratch, is very focused on the person he’s hanging out with and looks at you like you’re all that matters. He came in with another dog (we think it was his sister) who ended up bullying him in the kennel and they needed to be separated. He may be okay with another dog that is cool with letting him be himself and doesn't nag.Barney left for a foster home on 6/30, and we all had high hopes of him staying because it was a foster to adopt situation. Unfortunately, he had to be returned because he was simply too much for the young children in the house. The foster said he was in no way aggressive with them, it was more like he would get excited, body slam, and then lay on top of them, with all of his weight and glory. Training will help this behavior in the future and for now, we are asking that he goes to a home with kids 12 and up and who have experience with strong dogs.Look at that face! How can you resist that squishy, squishy, face? He needs someone serious about working with training him and someone committed to keeping him in their lives. He deserves that.
