About Bastrop County Animal Services

The Bastrop County Animal Shelter is a small but busy shelter that takes in more than 4,000 animals each year. We rely heavily on adopters, fosters, rescue partners, volunteers, and community support to help save lives and care for animals in need. Every animal adopted from our shelter goes home spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, on heartworm prevention, and more. We truly need all the help we can get to continue making a difference for the animals in our community.
