About ACTion Programs for Animals
Our mission is to offer lifesaving programs and services to rescue at-risk companion animals in Doña Ana County and support people and their pets in living healthy and happy lives together. We envision a time when all companion animals in our community are treated with respect and kindness. We operate a shelter where we house up to 100 animals 24/7/365. We run a pet food bank there. And we also run the P.A.W.S. (Prisoners and Animals Working Toward Success) training program in partnership with the Southern NM Correctional Facility. Our adoption center is open from 11 to 4 only on Tues/Thurs/Sat, but we are also available by appointment for those who can't make it in those days/times.
