About Effingham County Humane Society

Effingham County Humane Society is a volunteer-supported, no-kill animal shelter serving Effingham County and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless, abandoned, neglected, and at-risk animals while promoting responsible pet ownership through education, community outreach, and pet retention resources. Through the dedication of our staff, volunteers, foster homes, and supporters, we provide compassionate care and second chances to hundreds of animals each year.
