About Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center
We are the only open admission shelter in Hillsborough County, taking in dogs and cats no matter their age, size, breed or medical condition. In 2025, more than 13,000 pets were sheltered at Pet Resource Center with a live saved rate of 94% for dogs and 92% for cats.
