About City of Las Vegas Animal Care Center
We are a small rural municipal animal shelter in Las Vegas, New Mexico, serving San Miguel County, a community of approximately 27,000 residents. With just three staff members, we manage every aspect of shelter operations—from animal care and kennel cleaning to administrative responsibilities. Our facility has capacity for 31 dogs and 7 cats, and we are consistently working to address overcrowding while finding safe outcomes for the animals in our care.
