About Lend-a-Paw Inc.
Lend-a-Paw Inc. was created in August of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, the outdoor cat population was at an all-time high. Spay/neuter clinics were closed and shelters were at limited capacity. We started off in a garage, and by November 2021 we were able to expand to our first facility in Oceanside, NY. Shortly thereafter, we began rescuing dogs as well, and we've continued to rescue the most vulnerable dogs and cats in overcrowded shelters, as well as to help people and their pets in need within our community. Since we started, we've rescued 463 cats and 244 dogs. We wouldn't be able to save so many lives without the continued support of our donors, fosters, adopters, and volunteers--thank you to everyone!
