About New Nodaway Humane Society
The New Nodaway Humane Society is a no-kill non- profit organization which first started in 1985. Our rescue is in a small town called Maryville, Missouri. The town has a population of 10,000 people with about 8,000 people being college students who are only in Maryville during the college school year. This leaves our rescue with low numbers on adoptions, fosters, donations and volunteers for about 5 months out of a 12 month year. Our income is solely based off of community support so for 5 months we really struggle.
