About Greater Androscoggin Humane Society
The GAHS is an open door shelter serving Androscoggin County and welcoming roughly 2,000 animals/year. Our mission: The GAHS enriches lives; supporting and engaging the community by providing effective, accessible and innovative services and advocacy for animals. To follow is how we pursue our mission: • We shelter companion animals in need and place them in loving homes. • We provide information to our community to promote humane treatment for all animals. • We provide community support programs to help people provide better lives for their pets. • We expand access to essential veterinary care and behavioral support for companion animals. • We prioritize reunification of lost pets with the families who love them.
