About Loving Hands Cat Rescue Inc. of South River

Loving Hands Cat Rescue Inc. was founded in 2020 with the mission of placing adoptable kittens and cats into caring, nurturing homes. We prioritize both the physical and emotional well-being of every cat in our care, keeping them with us for as long as needed to ensure each placement is safe, successful, and well matched. Based in South River, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is woman-owned and operated entirely by 20 dedicated volunteers. In 2024, we were honored to be recognized with the New Jersey State Governor’s Volunteerism Award for our work in animal welfare. Veterinary care remains our largest expense. Every cat we rescue receives a physical exam and the appropriate vaccines, tests, treatments, spay/neuter surgery, and microchipping. When cats arrive with critical or life-threatening medical conditions, we ensure they receive immediate and compassionate emergency care. As veterinary costs continue to rise, support for our medical program is more important than ever. Donations of any amount help us provide lifesaving care and prepare rescued cats for healthy, happy lives with their forever families.
